With the use of our graphic program even, the most complicated knitwear can be produced quickly and automatically. One of the features of this development is the speed in making the program for a garment, as the outline shape is produced in a descriptive way.
With the user friendly programming software, the required number of courses, widenings, narrowings and any repeats are entered in the descriptive interface. The possibility to knit asymmetrically (independent selvedges) is also available. Moreover, at this stage, the neck is defined with the options for widening by 1 or 2 needles, true ( open) V-neck or marking ( cut ) V-neck. The fashioning sequences can be repeated as required.
After this operation, 4 files are saved: one is exactly as written, the other three are converted into drawings that may be edited with the graphic CAD system.
Using the graphic CAD system, the drawings may be edited using an intuitive colour coded method. The first is used for lace patterning. A specified colour is used to correspond to a particular movement. (1 to 4 needle transfer, right or left). These movements can be programmed for the lace rods and additionally for the fashioning fingers giving increased patterning capability. A repeat facility is also available. The second drawing is used for programming Intarisia and each kind of yarn carriers' work, where each colour corresponds to a yarn carrier, with the third being used for any additional functions. Eg. Loose course.
Once edited, the three drawings are merged into a processing page to create the file that is then used on the machine.
Time to learn how to use this software is very short, giving an appreciative reduction in programming costs.
